Harvesting: Pick leaves to use fresh at any time. To keep sage, dry the leaves thoroughly before storing in a dark coloured glass jar.
Medicinal Uses: Sage oil is antiseptic and astringent and has been used to treat sore throats, cuts & bruises.
Culinary Uses: Fresh Sage has a lemony flavour. The young leaves can be added to salads, omelets, soups, breads, etc.
Cultural Requirements: Sage grows best in full sun in well-drained soils.
