Heralding the arrival of spring, white Snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis) are the first to push their way up through the damp earth and delight us with their presence.

Galanthus nivalis

Cardiocrinum giganteum
The White Garden has several noteworthy plants to catch sight of. Featured in the garden is the Himalayam Lily (Cardiocrinum giganteum), a scented specimen that can reach up to nine feet in height. Along with shrubs such as hydrangea and azalea, the garden is planted with white flowering annuals and bulbs. To complement the white scheme, flora with grey, silver and green foliage or flowers are added.

A new addition to the garden is the Flowering Sea Kale (Crambe cordifolia) with sprays of fragrant flowers in June.
